This is a pleasant little village restaurant just of Matemwe beach . I had read previous great reviews and wanted to eat there . The food was delicious , we ate there five times ! He even set us up a beach table under the full moon which was super . No liquor sold we pre warned so we took our own and he is happy to store any excess , and should you run out he will zip you back to your hotel to pick up more on his scooter , this was fun riding on the beach . We ate seafood soup which was exquisite, his grilled kingfish super red snapper and seafood curry were much enjoyed . Food delivery can be slow as he cooks it all fresh to order, but you can speed things up up by preordering earlier of even the day before and specifically request a Fish of your liking. Last but not least his samosas are one of the tastiest I’ve eaten and I’m a samosas enthusiast. The prices are reasonable average about Β£15 a head . To cap it off Ali is a warm friendly host . Do not miss this opportunity to eat here

We had a delicious lunch at this village restaurant. Could smell the freshly made curry paste from the kitchen. Very affordable compared to resort prices.

I loved the place for its food and the people. It is a very warm place to share a meal with friends and family. They serve really fresh and tasty food. It was certainly the best local food in the area. We loved eating here and loved talking to the guys. Their spring rolls were simply amazing.

If you are looking for some homemade food that tastes good, this is the place. Leave outside resort demands and enjoy the local. Tastes are his marketing, and he is doing a great advertising job, with what he makes in his tiny kitchen

Very nice local restaurant, held by villagers. A breath of fresh air when you are tired of restaurants next to the beach (nice but a bit always the same...). Prices are significantly cheaper, atmosphere nice and funny (recycling ), even though light could be improved (warmer, and more spread little lights than a single big one)

The best lobster in Zanzibar, fresh and perfectly cooked! We kept coming back every day for both dine-in and take away. A fruit platter was on the house. Abduli, our chef and waiter, is a super friendly local guy. We also went for snorkling/ dolphin tour with him. Highly recommended! Thank you, Abduli, for the unforgettable vacation, can’t wait to come back!
